Wakeham

This evening in the back garden a Painted Lady and a Red Admiral passed through. The main highlight though had to be the 12 Mother of Pearl moths (Pleuroptya ruralis) in the Ivy at the back of the garden. In fact as I took a photograph of one from underneath the Ivy, I realised I had taken a photo of 2 as there was another one to the side of it.

Other moths found were a Light Brown Apple Moth (Epiphyas postvittana) flying around the Valerian and a Jersey Tiger moth (Euplagia quadripunctaria) sat on a leaf in the Cherry Tree.

Also about were both male and worker Red-tailed Bumblebees and Honey Bees on the Lavender.

Quite a few Honeybees on the Lavender as well.
