A change of scenery and a visit to the Battery this morning. One migrant seen, a lone Willow Warbler making its way along a hedgerow.
Also here a couple of small flocks of Linnet and a single Swallow.
A few butterflies about with both Common Blue and Chalk Hill Blues, plus 4 Painted Lady's, 2 Red Admirals, 3 Large Whites, 2 Green-veined Whites and stunning male Clouded Yellow.
Also seen a Long Hoverfly and a Common Carpet moth
Here are a few images from this morning

A Gatekeeper with what ......
........I think is a mite.
Common Carpet (Epirrhoe alternata)
A Long Hoverfly (Sphaerophoria scripta). Easy to ID here though........
.......with its wings closed a little more difficult I would think.
