A new walk today, though perhaps I should have waited for better weather, as shower after shower came in off the sea. Next time I shall have to remember the waterproofs.
Despite the weather I did manage a Stonechat at Barleycrates Quarry, a lone Swallow over the fields and 11 Gannets heading along the west cliffs. That was about it really, apart from a Kestrel trying to hover in the rain and around 100 Starlings sheltering on the roof tops in Reap Lane.
Barleycrates Lane where the Stonechat was sat at the end of the track.
The view along the cliffs towards Chesil Beach
3 Gannets heading out to sea.........
.......and two more.
Around 100 Starlings on the roof of a house close to the horse field Here. Sadly no juvenile Rose-coloured Starling in amongst them, which was first seen on 30 Aug as it came in off the sea. Via PBO Here
