Late morning I drove down to the Obs and managed to see the Buff-tailed Sandpiper as I drove past. It was still in the same field as yesterday afternoon, but sadly I heard later that it flew off west!
I parked up at the Obs and walked down to the quarry for another look at the Wryneck. Unfortunately it wasn't playing and was well hidden in the undergrowth, so I decided to head for The Bill, where I managed 1 Sooty Shearwater, 2 Manx Shearwater, dozens of Gannets, 5 Shag, Cormorant, a Turnstone briefly, Great Black-backed Gull, 2 Sandwich Tern and a Razorbill. Whilst I was sea watching 3 Meadow Pipits and 4 Pied Wagtails attempted to fly out over the sea, but gave up and flew back to land. On land were 2 Rock Pipit and 3 Wheatear.
On the way back to the Obs I stopped off at the quarry again, and the Wryneck had obviously moved as everyone there were all looking into the middle. Sadly after 45 minutes I gave up and came home. However it wasn't all doom and gloom as there were 3 Stonechats, 1 Common Whitethroat, a male Blackcap, Chiffchaff and I'm pretty certain a Nightingale which gave a brief view as it disappeared into the brambles.

I just managed a quick shot of this Turnstone that landed and then immediately took off on the rock in front of me.
