With the two american waders from across the ocean at Lodmoor today, it would have been a great shame not to have gone to see them. The waders were a Stilt Sandpiper and the other a Least Sandpiper. Both of which were seen yesterday, and were still present this morning.
The Stilt Sandpiper was fairly easy to locate unlike its smaller cousin which had the 30+ bird watchers moving from location to the next in the hope of spotting it.
Fortunately I managed to spot the Least Sandpiper take off from the hump to the shelter area and managed good views of it as it fed alongside 2 Green Sandpipers, before I had to leave. Two great lifers!!
A few record shots of both waders and a couple of short videos.

The Least Sandpiper......
.......a lot smaller than the Green Sandpiper next to it.
