Wakeham

It was a shame I wasn't able to leave the cottage this morning, as just under a mile away there were 5 Yellow-browed Warblers, dozens of Chiffchaffs and a Ring Ouzel in the small copse at Thumb Lane.

So in the hope of seeing/hearing my own Yellow-browed Warbler, I set up camp for an hour this morning in the back garden.

Well I didn't record any but I certainly timed it right as several Chiffchaffs and 3 Blackcaps passed through. Also noted were dozens of hirundine, Pied Wagtails, Meadow Pipits and finches heading in all directions overhead. There was certainly a good vismig (Visible Migration) this morning.
