Wakeham

That's what we like, blue skies and lots of sunshine, unlike  yesterdays torrential rain and thick fog.

Highlights from the back garden today were 3 Meadow Pipits over and a Chiffchaff calling from a few gardens down.

I think the resident Robin was quite pleased to see me today. Well perhaps not me, but certainly the mealworms.

This Buff-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus terrestris) leaves this Nasturtium flower (Tropaeolum majus)....

..........for another one.

And a Common Carder Bee (Bombus pascuorumalso on a Nasturtium flower (Tropaeolum majus)

Honey Bee (Apis mellifera) in a Common Cosmos (Cosmos bipinnatus)

This Summer and Autumn I have seen many male Common Furrow-bees (Lasioglossum calceatum). This is the first female of this species I have seen this year.
