Well doctors orders are that I am to remain stress free until my op, which means no heavy lifting, gardening or even mowing the newly seeded lawn, which is now a good 8in high.
So it was a nice relaxing afternoon sat in a chair in the sun watching the world go by.
Main highlights were streams of hirundines heading south and Meadow Pipits arriving, plus a very vocal Chiffchaff (again) in the Sycamore at the rear of the garden.
Also noted were the number of butterflies flitting in and out of the garden with at least 6 Large Whites and 2 Red Admirals. I did try but no photos I'm afraid.

It seemed to be enjoying the abundance of insects under the leaves. Its spotted one........
