Bumpers Lane, Broadcroft Quarry Lane, Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve, Upper Horse Paddock and Lower Horse Paddock

It was another blustery day with wind speeds reaching 40mph. Along with the southwesterly was the occasional rumble of thunder and squally showers.

Ted and I managed to dodge the showers and had a quick walk around the "block".

Highlights today were:

2 Stonechat - Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve 
12 Redwing - Lower Horse Paddock
1 Song Thrush - Broadcroft Quarry Lane
1 Chiffchaff - In my back garden as I walked up through Bumpers Lane housing estate.

In Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve was this male Stonechat and...........

...........a female, having a stretch.

There were just a handful of German Wasps around their nest in Bumpers Lane this afternoon.
