Bumpers Lane, Broadcroft Quarry Lane, Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve, Upper Horse Paddock and Lower Horse Paddock

It was a much better day weatherwise and is was back to sunshine and showers.

There were a few highlights:

1 Song Thrush - Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve
1 Chiffchaff - Bumpers Lane

One of the three Meadow Pipits in the Upper Horse Paddock and an annoying fence spoiling the shot.

This Meadow Pipit has found a few juicy looking worms to eat.

Also in the Upper Horse Paddock were 6 Pied Wagtails including 4 juveniles like this one.

In the Butterfly Reserve a female Stonechat

And along Broadcroft Quarry Lane a Wren searching for its next meal.


Wasps and Gall Wasps Recorded:
German Wasp (Vespula germanica)

The German Wasp nest in Bumpers Lane, where the inhabitants are all looking a bit lethargic now.

There wasn't a single one seen flying.

They were just walking around the entrance.

The German Wasp nest is very quiet now.
