Wakeham

Well the plan today was to go to Weymouth for an hour or so and then have a walk around Radipole with Ted.

Unfortunately a sink hole appeared on the Portland Beach Road at Ferrybridge and whilst repairs were being carried out, there was a Traffic Management Team controlling the traffic lights. Unbelievably the TMT were absolutely clueless as to how to keep the traffic flowing, with queues stretching 2 to 3 miles in both directions. A 20 minute journey would have taken me over an hour.

So it was another day in the back garden watching Blue-tailed Damselflies, Semaphore Flies and dozens of Marmalade Hoverflies.

Overhead the 2 Swallows I saw yesterday were replaced by 2 Swifts. The latter a bit scarce on Portland this year.
