Old Quarry Lane and Wakeham Meadow

It was another scorcher of a day, so it was a short walk with plenty of shade for Ted down Old Quarry Lane and around the meadow.

What was seen was very much like yesterday with dozens of Marbled Whites, Ringlets and Six-spot Burnet moths.

New for the day though was a Lime-speck Pug (Eupithecia centaureata) and micro moth sp.

A Meadow Brown with one white dot in the black spot

And a Gatekeeper with two white dots in the black spot. Though very occasionally Meadow Browns can a have an additional second but very feint white dot,
