Lower Horse Paddock, Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve and Upper Horse Paddock

And yet another visit to the "bump" to record the Chaffinch singing its unusual song. I did manage two recordings, but the camera on both occasions decided to focus on the branches just in front of it. I will be returning.

Main highlights other than the "aberrant" Chaffinch were several Swallows, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 5 Common Whitethroat, 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Blackcap, 3 Chiffchaff and a Willow Warbler

General Shots:
My neighbours garden shed up in flames.

The view from the "bump" looking south and before my neighbours garden shed went up in flames.

The white smoke is the start of the fire.

And then it really got going.....

.........billowing out plumes of black smoke which....

.......was seen and smelt across the middle of Portland.

A couple of videos of the smoke.......

..........pouring out of my neighbours garden

The Fire Service on site.

It didn't take long to put out, though it might take awhile to figure out how it started. At least nobody was hurt.

Ted:

Come on Ted you can do it.
