Ferrybridge

It was a busy day for me in Weymouth today and unfortunately there was no time for a walk. The traffic was moving pretty slowly over the Portland Beach Road, which allowed me to see what was on the sandflats and in The Fleet.

Not taken today, but here are the sandflats and The Fleet to the west.

The most noticeable sight was a huge flock of small waders taking off and landing further along the shoreline. I can only presume they were Dunlin and possibly Ringed Plovers with them.

There were also plenty of gulls about, predominantly Mediterranean Gulls, plus a few Brent Geese.

Sat on a few of the large buoys in the Fleet were a couple of Cormorants.

Birds Recorded:
Cormorant
Brent Geese
Kestrel
Ringed Plover/Dunlin
Black-headed Gull
Mediterranean Gull
Herring Gull
Great Black-backed Gull
