Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Meadow, The Windmills, Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve, Broadcroft Quarry Lane and Lower Horse Paddock

It was a very quiet day, especially with migrants. The only birds of note were 2 Meadow Pipits and several Chaffinches. I didn't see or hear any Chiffchaffs, and the only flock of Long-tailed Tits I came across, was just that with no other bird species tagging along.

Today was also the first day that I didn't record a Red Admiral, though I did come across a Light Brown Apple moth when I got got home.

Today's walk was also devoid of wasps and bees apart from two Common Carder Bumblebees along Old Quarry Lane.

General Shots:
The following photos are of the Nature Reserve, which Betterment Properties were supposed to provide for the residents in Bumpers Lane. For starters there is no liner for the pond, there are only 11 trees in clumps of 4, 4, 2 and 1, and if anything ever grows in the rubble surrounding the path and pool, it will be a miracle.

Ted:

Five Ted's seems to be best I can do.

I'm not sure if I will achieve six.

Ships Today:
