Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Meadow, The Windmills, Wakeham Railway Cuttings, Penns Wood, St Andrew's Church, Penn's Weare, Penn's Copse, Rufus Castle, Bumpers Lane, Broadcroft Quarry Lane, Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve and Lower Horse Paddock

To say it was cold would be an understatement and with that biting north-easterly it felt pretty raw out there this afternoon.

Main highlights were at least 8 Blackbirds feeding on the cotoneasters along Wakeham Railway Cuttings, where there was also a Chiffchaff and a Goldcrest.

Another Chiffchaff and Goldcrest were seen along Broadcroft Quarry Lane.

Along Bumpers Lane I came across a very lethargic Common Spotted Field Syrph hoverfly.
