Wakeham Wood

Just the wood visited today and what a selection of birds found, with the main highlights being: 4 Swallow, 1 Garden Warbler, 5 Blackcap, 6 Chiffchaff (1 singing), 2 Willow Warbler (1 singing), 3 Goldcrest and a male Pied Flycatcher.

Also seen were dozens of Red Admirals, a Hummingbird Hawk-moth and a Common Darter

Portland Harbour and Balaclava Bay

A spot of fishing this afternoon and a mixed bag of MackerelPollack and Scad.

A few birds about as well with Cormorant, Shag, 1 Grey Heron, a Buzzard, Oystercatcher, Black-headed Gull, Herring Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, 1 Sandwich Tern and Rock Pipit

Also seen a Red Admiral

A Common Buzzard circling over Portland Harbour

Grey Heron  and Oystercatcher on the Breakwater

A Scad and safely returned

A good spot here for Pollack and Scad on light fishing tackle

We had a couple of heavy showers and a nice bright Rainbow

We were buzzed a couple of time by 2 Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopters.

Lots of armaments on-board.

And we even got a wave from the pilot.
