Wakeham Wood: 4 Chiffchaff, 7 Blackcap, 4 Willow Warblers (1 singing), 1 Goldcrest and several House Martin overhead

Penns Wood: 1 Chiffchaff
St Andrews Church and Church Ope Cove Wood: 4 Chiffchaff, 3 Blackcap, 2 Goldcrest, 15 Long-tailed Tits*, Great Tit and Blue Tits.
Church Ope Cove: 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap, 3 Rock Pipit, 1 Grey Wagtail and overhead 5 Swallows.
Rufus Castle: Same/different flock of Long-tailed Tits*, Blue Tits, Great Tits, 3 Chiffchaff and 2 Goldcrest. Also here a Spotted Flycatcher.
Butterflies seen today were mainly Red Admirals and a few Painted Lady's.
Just the one Hummingbird Hawk-moth seen in the grounds of St Andrew's Church. possibly the same moth seen daily here!!
Ivy Bees everywhere, where there is flowering Ivy. And with them hundreds of hoverflies.

This morning this Spotted Flycatcher was busy catching flies............

A Long-tailed Tit. There is a large flock at the moment with at least 15 birds patrolling the woods along Church Ope Cove, Penns Wood and Penns Copse.
I might be way off the the mark But I believe this Sweet Pea, which this Red Admiral is on, has been planted here at Perryfields Butterfly Reserve to attract the rare Long-tailed Pea-blue butterfly. More on this butterfly Here and Here
In the same area as the Red Admiral above was this Painted Lady.
In the grounds of St Andrew's Church this Hummingbird Hawk-moth was busy feeding on the Buddleia

Reptiles Recorded: Wall Lizard (Podarcis muralis) and Common Lizard (Zootoca vivipara)
Butterflies Recorded: Large White, Speckled Wood, Red Admiral and Painted Lady
Moths Recorded: 1 Hummingbird Hawk-moth (Macroglossum stellatarum)
Bees Recorded: Honey Bees (Apis mellifera) and Ivy Bee (Colletes hederae)
Wasps Recorded: German Wasp (Vespula germanica) and Common Wasp (Vespula vulgaris)
Hoverflies Recorded: Dead Head Hoverfly (Myathropa florea), Hornet Mimic Hoverfly (Volucella zonaria), Common Drone Fly (Eristalis tenax) and Tapered Drone Fly (Eristalis pertinax)
