Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens

With the weather forecast looking pretty good for today, Myself, Dawn, Poppy and Ted visited the Subtropical Gardens at Abbotsbury this afternoon. More on the gardens here.

We have visited Abbotsbury many times, but this was the first time we have actually walked around the gardens. Apart from being amazed by the incredible number of plants from all over world growing here, there were also few British birds noted on our walk. The best being both Nuthatch and Treecreeper, both firsts for my UK list of birds this year.

Other highlights were a Green Woodpecker "yaffling", and Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Goldcrest all heard singing.
