Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Meadows and Wakeham Wildlife Site

After a busy day in the back garden, it was good to get out for an early evening walk with Ted and Theo.

Only highlights in the warm sunshine were a  Blackcap and a Chiffchaff both singing close to the wildlife site.

Moths Recorded:
1 Silver Y (Autographa gamma)
Endothenia sp.
It appears that I have come across this Endothenia species several times over the years, but I'm still non the wiser as to what it is.


Bees Recorded:
Buff-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus terrestris)
Common Carder Bumblebee (Bombus pascuorum)
Honey Bee (Apis mellifera)
Red-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus lapidarius)

When the sun begins to set..........

...........it looks like the Buff-tailed Bumblebees rest up on leaves.
