Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Meadows, Wakeham Railway Cuttings, Wakeham Railway Cuttings (east), The Cuttings Quarry, Bumpers Lane, Silklake Quarry, Broadcroft Quarry Lane, Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve, Higher Horse Paddock and Lower Horse Paddock

Yet again it was another very windy and sunny day, and just like yesterday there was very little about, with two Chiffchaffs being the only Spring migrants noted.

A Buff-tailed Bumblebee (Bombus terrestris) on a flowering Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa). A plant that is also known as Sloe.

My first Early Bumblebee (Bombus pratorum) of Spring

I believe these are Bronze Furrow Bee (Halictus tumulorum) on a flowering Wild Strawberry. I will check.

Sadly not enough detail to go beyond a Mining Bee sp. (Andrena sp.)
