Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Meadows, The Windmills, Watery Lane, Barleycrates Lane, West Cliff, Reap Lane Barn, Avalanche Road Hump, Thumb Lane and Weston Street.

Well that was hard work for just a handful of Spring Migrants.

They were:
Swallow: Six along the West Cliffs
Common Whitethroat: One singing from the bushes next to Weston Street. My first this Spring.
Blackcap: Three males singing between Avalanche Road Hump to Thumb Lane
Chiffchaff: One along Old Quarry Lane, One at Reap Lane Barns and four between Avalanche Road Hump and Thumb Lane

A female Stonechat along Watery Lane

I could hear, but couldn't see it that well, until........

..........it flew onto another branch. A male Blackcap in Thumb Lane

A Chiffchaff singing from one branch and........

..........then another, and............

..........another.

One of the many House Sparrows by Reap Lane Barns. This male was totally unfazed by my presence, which was literally a couple of metres away.

Yellow Dung Fly (Scathophaga stercoraria)


Bugs and Beetles Recorded:
2 Bloody-nosed Beetle (Timarcha tenebricosa)
Common Green Shieldbug (Palomena prasina)

A pair of Bloody-nosed Beetles making sure there are more next year.
