Having given away the Khaki Campbell Ducks a few days ago, today was spent in the back garden transforming the duck house and their pond back to what it was originally, which was a vegetable garden.
So after a few hours and a few cuts, bruises and a couple of sore fingers, I finally managed to get it back to what it was before.
So as you have probably guessed there was no walk today, but there were a few things of interest in and around the garden.
From the garden you can often hear Common Whitethroats, in the horse paddock just a few metres to the north of the garden, but today it was a Lesser Whitethroat which was a bit of a surprise. More than likely a bird on its migration north.
In the garden there were 3 Slow-worms under the corrugated sheet and also seen was a Frog in the pond.
Here are a few images from today:
With the sun out for most of the day, the Slow-worms...........
...........made the most of the corrugated sheet I put out for them.
An andrena bee for me to ID later.
