Wakeham

We're having some right miserable weather here on Portland at the moment, so yet again Ted and I were stuck at home for another day. However the good news is, is that I have set up the birder feeder again in the back garden.

We did have the feeder set up for the first two years we were here, but unfortunately Roland and his mates started helping themselves to the seeds. That was when we kept chickens, and we were infested with them. This time round we have ducks which are a lot closer to the house and the feeders are well away from them.

So far there's been a couple of Blue Tits, a Great Tit and two Goldfinches. Not a bad start.

Just the one image today:

It's been awhile since I have had the feeders back up again and the birds have taken to it already. Here are two Goldfinches feeding on the niger seeds, in the pouring rain.

Birds Recorded from around the back garden throughout the day: Herring Gull, Wood Pigeon, Dunnock, Robin, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Magpie, Carrion Crow, House Sparrow, Chaffinch and Goldfinch
