Hamm Beach

I made an essential trip to the shop this afternoon and as I was parked next to Hamm Beach, it also meant I could have an exercise walk with Ted. Unfortunately the weather had other ideas, and we only managed a few hundred metres before the rain came.

Still it was nice to walk somewhere different and apart from getting a good soaking, Ted enjoyed it, though he did look a bit bedraggled when we got back to the car.

Birds noted on our walk were: 1 Oystercatcher, 30+ Turnstone, 4 Black-headed Gull, 2 Mediterranean Gull, Herring Gull, 2 Rock Pipit, 1 Pied Wagtail and a Carrion Crow

Here are a few images and videos from our walk.

Just up from Hamm beach were these 6 Dark-bellied Brent Geese.

Here are two close up

There were only a few gulls along the shoreline today. These are adult Black-headed Gulls still with their Winter heads.

Are rather elegant looking Oystercatcher with that bright orange bill.

Also on the beach were around 30 or so Turnstones. You can clearly see how they got their name.

The rain is on its way Ted.

A quick run down the rocks, but.........

........that face tells it all. He got a bit wet and that's what he thinks of me. 😂
