Wakeham

Rain, rain and then more rain. A complete wash out today.

Only thing of interest was a Bumblebee heading up the garden and the sad sight of 2 soaking wet Herring Gull chicks on the neighbour's chimney stack.

The Herring Gull chicks sit it out in the persistent rain. There were 3 chicks last week, but its difficult to see if they are all there. The visible ones are the offspring of Bo a 15 year old Herring Gull, that has bred here in Wakeham since at least 30 May 2012.  Bo got her name from the Blue and Orange 771 plastic ring around her leg. Sadly the ring and her metal one are both gone.
