Day 12

Carrer Can Vauma Wildlife Corridor

And yet another visit to this area and yet again new bird species to add to my ever growing Mallorca list.

Today's new birds were: Booted EagleRed-legged PartridgeCurlew, Sand Martin and Western Subalpine Warbler.

The only downer was that large black clouds appeared from behind the mountains and we only just made it back to the hotel before the heavens opened up.

This Cormorant was still on its favourite island in the middle of Es Llac Gran here.

A Booted Eagle over..........

.............the Hill of St Martin here. This time in Slo-mo.

As I walked passed this field here............

........these two Red-legged Partridges took off and ended up in the woods here.

A Nightingale singing at this location here. In the background is another Nightingale singing, a Hoopoe and a Western Subalpine Warbler.

And along the track a Zitting Cisticola singing from this conifer. This warbler also goes by the name of Fan-tailed Warbler.
