What miserable weather we're having. I don't mind the rain, as we do need it, but gale force winds in May. It's not going to be easy for nesting birds to collect food for youngsters.

The only invertebrate I noted in the garden, when it stopped raining briefly, was a Common Carder Bee (Bombus pascuorum) collecting pollen from one of the Honeysuckles.
