Day 10.

Hotel, Carrer Can Vauma, Wildlife Corridor, Avenue Pere Mas i Reus, Badia d Alcudia and Cami de Can Blau

Either side of Carrer Can Vauma is a Wildlife Corridor, which Dawn and I only discovered today. It appears to be an abandon road, with the flora and fauna being allowed to regenerate itself.

It was certainly an interesting walk with new bugs and plants recorded.

This is a Fan-tailed Warbler, also known as the Zitting Cisticola, and is a common bird species in Mallorca. In the background you can just make out another Fan-tailed Warbler, a Hoopoe, Sardinian Warbler, Greenfinch and a Cetti's Warbler just as a cyclist past by. This Fan-tailed Warbler was singing here.

This very dark brown bee is most likely the Honey Bee (Apis mellifera iberiensis). And also goes by the name of Spanish Honey Bee. These particular bees are often dark brown to jet-black.

This stunning looking bee on this Bird's-foot trefoil (Lotus corniculatus) is a Leafcutter Bee....

And this unusual looking tree is............

...........a Foxglove Tree ( Paulownia tomentosa) and originates from China. It is a fast growing deciduous tree which also goes by the name of Empress tree or Paulownia. More on this tree here.

Aircraft today

This aircraft is the EC-XTI aircraft and is registered to Airmax Seamax M-22. It is a seaplane based at Mallorca-Pollensa.
