With that strong south-easterly still blowing in, I decided to swap sides on the island and have a walk along the west side instead.
With the cliffs giving shelter I did think I might see a few Wheatear heading up West Weares.
Unfortunately not and the best I could do was a/same female Black Redstart in the horse field just off Reap Lane Barns. A little further along a male Stonechat popped up onto the brambles.
The big miss was a male Marsh Harrier which was spotted by another birder I met later which somehow passed over my head at The Barns and headed up the island. I really do need to be a bit more observant.

This is a Reims-Cessna F406 Caravan II, Registration G-RVLG doing a few circuits over Portland to Wareham. It took off from Nottingham at 8:27am and after its flight landed at Birmingham 2:13pm. The playback of the flight is a bit out as it doesn't show it over Portland. More on this aircraft here, here and here.
