Fancy's Farm, Vaycroft Quarry, King Barrow Quarries Nature Reserve and High Angle Battery

As it was quite late in the day for a walk, I opted for Fancy's Farm and the local area there, just in case any migrants had stopped off here, on their northward journey.

I didn't see any Wheatears but I did have several Chiffchaffs in sheltered spots where that blustery south-easterly couldn't reach. Also noted was a male Stonechat on the Fancy Farms fence and my first Pheasant of the year was close to the granary in Portland Docks.

Birds Recorded:
2 Buzzard
1 Pheasant
Herring Gull
1 Stock Dove
Wood Pigeon
Dunnock
Robin
7+ Chiffchaff

There were several Chiffchaffs about. This one like the others weren't in the mood to be photographed.

Ted

Ah well that didn't go to plan. Ted found something more interesting than running past me.
