Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Meadows, Wakeham Railway Cuttings, Penns Wood, St Andrew's Church, Church Ope Cove, Rufus Castle, Silklake Quarry, Bumpers Lane, Broadcroft Quarry Lane, Broadcroft Butterfly Reserve, Higher Horse Paddock and Lower Horse Paddock.

Thank goodness I didn't take any notice of the weather forecast, which was for rain all morning and clearing by 3:00pm. In fact it was the complete opposite, with rain starting around midday and continuing throughout the afternoon and evening.

Having taken the chance that the forecast was wrong, Ted and I had a good long walk, as today was the start of my extended walks for this Autumn; in the hope of finding some migrants heading south, plus logging my first Ivy Bees for this year.

I failed on the second objective, but at least found four Chiffchaffs heading south and a new Ichneumon Wasp (Heterischnus truncator) for my P&W list.
