Today I started on the last section of the garden, section 6 which is the "Tractor" Tyre Pond and BBQ area. With Sections 1 to 5 and 7 & 8 almost complete bar a bit of titivating, I turned my attention to sorting out the flowerbed opposite the pond.
I say flowerbed, in fact it was an area where there was a straggly Buddleia and a Sycamore growing, plus a lot of Ivy and Bindweed.
Well I'm pleased to say the whole area was cleared and a stone seat put in place to view the pond. Having just finished constructing it, I tried the seat out, and the resident Robin flew into the pond and started bathing by standing on a rock just under the surface. What a time not to have the camera to hand.
Other highlights as I was working away, was a Chiffchaff singing from three gardens down and 4 Red Admirals on the Buddleia.
