What a miserable wet day, with sea fog drifting up the island reducing visibility at times to just 100 metres or so. It was a walk I had to do, as today was Ted's 8th birthday. So no matter how wet we got, it was a case of just getting out there to stretch his legs and mine.
Unsurprisingly there was very little to see, but for the first time for quite a few weeks, there were two Stock Doves in Bumpers Lane Quarry. The only other thing of note was 40+ Wood Pigeons circling over the Lower Horse Paddock looking for a place to land. No doubt I guess, to avoid flying in the fog.
