After a very busy day, it was an evening walk for me and Ted. Even at 7:0pm it was still fairly mild, well at least in the sheltered spots, however if you were walking into that north-westerly breeze, it certainly had a bit of a bite to it.
As the sun was setting, so quite a few micro moths started to appear. Unfortunately trying to follow them and seeing where they landed proved to be quite challenging. In a few sunny spots I came across a Painted Lady, a few hoverflies and several bees.

A Painted Lady absorbing the last rays of sunshine this evening.
Just the one male Common Blue in the meadow.
And again with its wings closed.

Several micro-moth sps.
Along with several micro-moths and Silver Y, I also came across a few Common Grass-veneers.

There weren't too many hoverflies about, but where there was a bit of evening sun.........
