Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Meadow, Easton Railway Cuttings and the Tesco's to Wakeham Permissive Path.

Well Summer really has arrived, and yet another very sunny and warm day. Not too many migrants about and the best I could do was two Chiffchaffs.

Just a single Painted Lady today and another good count of 10+ Red Admirals. And for the second day running I came across another Small Tortoiseshell, this time along Old Quarry Lane.

Just 3 moth species today a Carnation Tortrix and 3 Straw Conch for the second day running, and a

This is an Artichoke Beetle, a Leaf Beetle I have come across before in the meadow.

A Tawny Cockroach and one that I keep across on the island.

Cuckoo Pint (Arum maculatum).

This is Cuckoo Pint or Lords & Ladies as its often called. A very poisonous plant.
