Wakeham Railway Cuttings, Perryfields Butterfly Reserve, Church Ope Car Park, Penns Wood, St Andrew's Church, Church Ope Cove and Church Ope Cove Wood

The Yellow-browed Warbler might have moved on, but in its place today was a Pallas's Warbler I found at the west end of the Railway Cuttings at Wakeham Here. A very busy bird, it was in with a flock Long-tailed Tits, Goldcrests and 2 Firecrests.

Having tweeted it on Twitter, I managed to get a few photos and a couple of videos before it headed back east along the Railway Cuttings. I tried following it, but sadly I couldn't locate it again around this spot Here. Needless to say if you follow the flock of Long-tailed Tits and crests I dont think it will be too far away.

Other highlights were the Eastern Lesser Whitethroat, a Blackcap, 1 Chiffchaff and 2 Firecrests in Penns Wood. Another Firecrest was also at the back of the cove.

Here is a breakdown of what I recorded today:

Penns Wood: 1 Blackcap, 1 Chiffchaff, 1 Eastern Lesser Whitethroat, 3 Goldcrest, 2 Firecrest and 30+ Long-tailed Tit

Church Ope Cove: 23 Rock Pipit and a Raven. Overhead a Sparrowhawk

Church Ope Cove Wood: 1 Chiffchaff, 2 Goldcrest and 1 Firecrest

Wakeham Railway Cuttings: 1 Pallas's Warbler, 1 Goldcrest, 2 Firecrest and 15 Long-tailed Tit. Overhead 1 Buzzard

Also seen today a Red Admiral at the back of the cove.

Here are a few images and a couple of videos from today.
