Another very sunny day and with it a very welcome breeze to help keep the humidity down.
The meadows were alive with butterflies and moths again, with dozens of Six-Spot Burnet Moths either flying about or feeding on the Knapweed.
On the butterfly front it was much the same as yesterday with low numbers of Marbled Whites and Meadow Browns, though with the latter there were at least 4 pairs mating.
Away from the meadows and in the Bramble hedgerows there were several Gatekeepers. Other butterflies about were 2 Common Blues, Large Whites, Small Whites, Green-veined Whites, Large Skippers and Small Skippers.

Bugs and Beetles Recorded: Swollen-thighed Beetle (Oedemera nobilis), Dock Bug (Coreus marginatus), Common Red Soldier Beetles (Rhagonycha fulva) and 2 Common Green Capsid (Lygocoris pabulinus)
Slugs and Snails Recorded: White-lipped Banded Snail (Cepaea hortensis) and a Garden Snail (Cornu aspersa)
Grasshoppers and Crickets Recorded: Meadow Grasshopper (Chorthippus parallelus) and Common Field Grasshopper (Chorthippus brunneus)

Spent the afternoon in the back garden and lovely to see 2 male Blue-tailed Damselflies around the pond. Also one of the 3 Frogs decided to pop up and have a look around.
Also in the garden a Mint Moth, Red Admiral, 1 Long Hoverfly and at least 5 Marmalade Hoverflies.
