Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Wildlife Site and Wakeham Meadows

It was a day which started off sunny but then the clouds started to roll in. and by the time I had finished sorting out the hot water pipe in the kitchen, it had turned pretty dull with quite a breeze from the south-east.

Main highlight again went to the Chiffchaffs, with at least 7 birds calling along my walk. The only difference today was that there were no Blackcaps or Goldcrests seen or heard.

The female Kestrel was back in the meadow again "tree hopping", plus I also recorded a Buzzard to the east of Wakeham and a fly-by Sparrowhawk.

Just the one butterfly today a Red Admiral along the lane on the Ivy, where there was also a solitary Honey Bee. There were several Common Wasps about and two Common Droneflies, but I didn't see a single Ivy Bee!
