It was shorter walk today, but what a walk it was when I came across a mega flock of warblers, crests and tits between the Wildlife Site and the Railway Cuttings. I just happened to arrive at a spot between two copses as this flock flew from the copse on my left to the copse on my right, at the west end of the railway cuttings. From my advantage point I counted 5 Blackcaps, 41 Chiffchaff, 7 Goldcrests, 9 Long-tailed Tits, 4 Great Tits, 2 Blue Tits and a Chaffinch.
I could really have done with a few more pairs of eyes and ears to see/hear if there was anything else in amongst them. It was pretty impressive!!
