Leading Roding

Today was a special day for my sister as after 25 years of being together with her fiancé, she finally got married, an honour I was more than happy to perform.

That's a lot of Rooks overhead.

And with the Rooks that looks very much like a Jackdaw bottom right. Glad to be corrected.


Butterflies Recorded:

1 Bronze Furrow Bee Halictus tumulorum

Wasps, Ichneumon Wasps, Parasitic Wasps and Gall Wasps Recorded

8 German Wasp Vespula germanica

German Wasp Vespula germanica feeding on an apple. And...........

.............another one feeding inside an apple.

And I found this German Wasp floating in the garden pond. I managed to........

............lift it out and place it on this stone to dry out. A few minutes later it flew off, non the worse for its dip.
