Wakeham

Today was another day in the garden. This time after a visit to the dentist, where I had a pre-op assessment to see if I am dentally fit for my open heart surgery; for which a date seems to be taking forever to be set.

At least it was a good day in the garden, especially now that the concrete base is down and dry enough to walk on. Dawn and I had great fun sizing up where the shed should go, plus how much space we would like for the Summer House. Its getting there slowly.

Here are a few photos from today.

No brilliant photos I'm afraid as these hirundines were pretty high up. This one appears to be a Sand Martin with a brown band across its chest.

However I'm not to sure about this one. There isn't that brown band, so most likely a House Martin. But there again, with its head tilted downwards, is there a band there. Possibly!!

Yesterday on this Ice Plant Hylotelephium spectabile was a Flesh Fly Sarcophaga sp. Today a Flower Spider Misumena vatia, with not a fly in sight.

And the new concrete base, with a rough layout of where the shed and Summer House will be.
