Old Quarry Lane, Wakeham Wildlife Site and Wakeham Meadows

It was a quick walk around my local patch to see if the Wasp Spiders were still about, and I'm pleased to say they are still present in their respective meadows.

Butterflies Recorded:
2 Large White Pieris brassicae

1 Red Admiral Vanessa atalanta

No "blue" butterflies seen this evening, but the Speckled Woods are still showing well..........

.................even if a few are looking a bit battered.

0 Rush Veneer Nomophila noctuella - Having seen this species daily for the past 2 months, there were none today.

In the centre of this uncropped image is a wasp sp sat on..........

........on a Common Ragwort. Such a shame I couldn't zoom in, but it flew off before I could. Maybe the uncropped image will help in ID'ing it. Or maybe not!!
