Hotel and Alcudia (Old Town)
From the grounds of the hotel a Marsh Harrier drifted over at 10:30. Also close by were Greenfinches and Chaffinches.
This morning we caught a bus to Old Town Alcudia. En route on a very bouncy bus we spotted a Balearic Spotted Flycatcher and Serin.
In Alcudia we had a Sardinian Warbler, a pair of Hoopoes taking food to a nest in a patch of wasteland, plus my first ever African Monarch butterfly.
Also noted flying over Alcudia was a Grey Wagtail.
After arriving at the Hotel at around 16:30, we had an unexpected sighting of an Audouin's Gull attempting to eat peanuts and crisps from Hotel Guests around the pool area.

My first ever African Monarch butterfly. In fact there was one at Portland Bird Observatory on 24 Sep 18, which unbeknown to me had flown past me when I was looking into the Obs Quarry and was seen by several birders in the Obs garden.
