After a flying visit to the bank in Weymouth, it was a quick stop at Sandsfoot Castle for the divers and grebes seen there over the past few days. Unfortunately a strong south-easterly scuppered that plan and apart from an Oystercatcher on the beach and a Chiffchaff by the car that was it.
So next stop was Ferrybridge, where I came across a Great Northern Diver under the road bridge and then a Spoonbill which dropped in for a few minutes on the sandflats before heading off towards (presumably) Lodmoor RSPB Reserve..
Other highlights at Ferrybridge were a few more firsts for the year being a Little Egret, Ringed Plover, Turnstone, Mediterranean Gull and Lesser Black-backed Gull.

A Black-headed Gull watches the Ringed Plovers feeding on the sandflats.
A Dunlin feeding along the shoreline.
And a Turnstone heads off to another clump of seaweed in search of a meal.
