Bumpers Lane, Silklake Quarry, Rufus Castle, Church Ope Cove, St Andrew's Church and Penns Wood.

What a miserable start to the year, I think I can count the number of dry sunny days on one hand. Today we had fine drizzle falling, but not enough to put me off taking Ted and Theo for a walk.

Things have changed slightly at the cove, with the Chiffchaffs now at the back of the cove, behind the beach huts. Well at least two of them noted. The pair of Stonechats were absent and there was no sign of the Grey Wagtail either.

At least the female Black Redstart is still present, along with a male Pied Wagtail and six Rock Pipits. There was no sign of the "AAL" leg ringed Rock Pipit, but "AAX" was back.

And out in the surf was the Grey Seal again, along with a Black-headed Gull for company.
