After a miserable wet morning, the sun did eventually show itself around 4:30pm. Ted and I were already out well before then, when there was a fine misty drizzle falling. But at least it dried up.
Main highlight this afternoon was a Spotted Flycatcher at the back of Glen Caravans in Wakeham Woods. Other than that it was another good day for Chiffchaffs with several seen and heard along my walk.
Other birds of interest were a Great Spotted Woodpecker just south of Bumpers Lane, a Blackcap along Wakeham Railway Cuttings and 2 parties of 4 Swallows heading south.
