A very blustery day, with Sleet and SNOW. Only on Portland.

When I finally got out it was still very windy but at least the sun was out. New bird species today was a solitary Oystercatcher on the Fleet.

Our first walk since we arrived on Portland and a walk around the quarry behind the cottage this evening. The walk Dawn, Benji, Ted and me took was down Wakeham to Rufus Castle and then doubling back along the path that overlooks Church Ope Cove and then up through the quarry behind the cottage. Birds recorded here Herring Gull, Linnet, Blackbird, Chaffinch and Wood Pigeon.

A yacht takes shelter from the heavy seas.

A very poor panorama of Bumpers Lane quarry soon to be a housing estate for 71 homes I believe.
