After a very wet start to the day, it did eventually dry out. However with winds gusting up to 30mph and thick cloud cover, it seemed pointless to walk around a very wet meadow across the road.
So it was back to my wildflower patch, plus the bramble patch to see what was about. As expected that wasn't too much and unsurprisingly there were no butterflies or hoverflies.
Below are a few invertebrates I did record.

Below are a few invertebrates I did record.
A Honey Bee (Apis mellifera) resting an Ox-eye Daisy (Leucanthemum vulgare)
An Early Bumblebee (Bombus pratorum) on a bramble flower
Trivial Plant Bug (Closterotomus trivialis)
And my first Speckled Bush-cricket (Leptophyes punctatissima) of the year.
A fly sp.
And another fly sp.
Ted barking at the Wood Pigeons on the neighbours garage roof.
