Wakeham

Below are a few photos taken in the back garden today.

According to my Obsidentify App. there is a 77% chance that this is a Southern Hawker Aeshna cyanea. Unfortunately this was the only photo I managed before it flew off, so I'm not sure!!
Note. After further investigation I actually think it's an Emperor Dragonfly Anax imperator. More on this dragonfly here.

A Red-tailed Bumblebee Bombus lapidarius on its way from one California Poppy Eschscholzia californica to another.

Yellow-legged Mining Bee Andrena flavipe on an Oxeye Daisy Leucanthemum vulgare.

And a Colletes sp. According to Obsidentify it is either C. daviesanus/fodiens or similis.

And a Marmalade Hoverfly Episyrphus balteatus

And on this Oxeye Daisy Leucanthemum vulgare was a male Long Hoverfly Sphaerophoria scripta.

And on another Oxeye Daisy was a another Sphaerophoria species. As to which one I'm not sure.
